Im a beginner learning on my own and Ive tried a few different apps. This one is by far the best because it goes beyond just matching pitch into breathing exercises and other techniques.

I really cant sing. I cant carry a tune, I am tone deaf and have no sense of what key I am singing in. I was looking for an app that would help me train my voice so that I could at least sing along in church and with groups of friends. Something that would detect what I was doing wrong and make me go back until it was better. So, first lesson. Couldnt figure out what I was supposed to do, so only hit a few notes and got them ALL wrong. And guess what? The app told me I did an excellent job and was ready for the next lesson. Garbage!!!!! No help as a voice trainer at all. BOO!!!

Just the kind of app I was looking for. Works great on 4s and 6+!

The exercises are in half steps only as apposed to diatonic or linear harmony, which if you know anything about singing and ear training, is only a small piece of the puzzle. Id like to see: diatonic arpeggios, maybe some songs with the pitch bubbles for more accuracy, and most importantly vocal harmony practice. You could play two notes and score the student on one of them. All in all its still a great tool!-mike

This app has helped me improve singing and interval recognition more than any others. Well Worth it. It takes lots of practice hidden away from others, but I am getting better and even sang some at church last week. Works best with earbuds with mic that came with phone. I Like some of the suggestions by others. Also, How about ability to zoom in and see pitch better on phone or more history of results. Or stronger color gradient to see when Im way off (be a little tougher on me than just light blue).

This app is in depth and provides so many exercises. It has helped me practice my voice on my own between lessons and is definitely worth the price. You will spend more on just ONE session with a personal coach. The only improvement I would like to see is the option to mix in my own voice into the headphones (maybe on one side? With the tones on the other?) so that I can hear my actual true voice the way others do. Please make this possible! :)

If it had a click, itd be a five star program. Its great. The real time pitch analyzing is great and it really helps you get better.

As a sole app or as companion to your vocal coach, this app will not disappoint you. The pitch detection is top notch, and the exercises are well explained. The first time you notice a sensation of "singing as you dont have a throat at all", singing so relaxed yet so controlled, is when you notice that youre really improving, and the app is clearly doing something good. Bucks well invested here.

This is hands-down the best app Ive used for voice training. There are a ton of exercises for every skill level and the developers continue to update the app. I got a TON more lessons to download for free when they updated, and paid nothing. It was so extensive they could have easily charged for it, but they didnt. Excellent app, excellent support. Worth the money.

This app is good in as far as the exercises go. The pitch indicator feature is a nice touch but the one thing that would have made this app truly worth the price is if the developers had included a practical exercise section where students can actually sing along with short phrases of a song in different pitches and ranges to measure their progress. Also, there is no actual "coach" meaning someone guiding you through the exercises. You have to read the instructions while trying to perform the challenging exercises! Kinda stupid. The ear training section might be cool for novice singers but Im not that so, all in all, I can only give this 3 stars because there are too many "have nots" with this app which, if included, would make this a great tool for ANY singer.

Heres the deal. Im a drummer at heart. Then played the guitar for a few years and Im pretty good at both. I wanted to pursue singing...but the problem was, I just couldnt do it. I was one of those people who when you heard, you would laugh and tell me to shut up. Even with my other musical experience. I got this app and its only been three days and I have noticed a huge difference. Whether its singing in the car, singing with my guitar, or even just practicing, I can tell Im making a daily progress. I really love how I can view my history and physically see my progress, and also my weaknesses. My first day with the app I could reach from the bottom of my range all the way to an octave and half up. The next day I wanted to focus on my high notes and BAM..reached my full two octaves. And I could also see which parts of my two octaves are weak, and i know for a fact it will be better with more use of the app. I also know I will eventually be able to expand my range eventually because sometimes in the exercises, the pitch moniter will show me I go below and also above my range. also, ignore the last review in which they complained about not having a coach. The instructions for each exercise not only give you written instructions, but you can also LISTEN to an example of it from real people. And if thats not enough, the app also gives you tips at the top of the screen while doing the exercises. Such as "keep your jaw and tongue relaxed" or "keep good posture" and all of these things help you create good technique while also working on whatever exercise you are on. What more could you need? FIVE stars because I cant give 10. From a student who attends Berklee college of music and WILL one day be professional, I highly recommend this app for anybody trying to take singing seriously. There are other good vocal apps (one of my favorites is VocalCoach from Liz Caplan) and most are cheaper..but you get what you pay for. Nothing compares to this! To the developers of this great app: Thank you, for creating such a GREAT tool for a dreamer such as myself. Maybe when Im famous we can work out an endorsement deal LOL ;)

Heres the deal. Im an audio engineer. I have used a great number of audio applications. For a $15 app to include the same information as a $500 professional pitch editing software like Melodyne is AMAZING! Also, the piano sounds pretty good. The exercises included are pretty standard (I mean this in a good way). You could pay hundreds of dollars an hour to get instruction from professional vocal coaches, and although this is not a one to one substitute, it is a great addition and in my personal opinion an excellent app for beginners and intermediates. I have only had the app for one day. I will definitely update my review further down the road. So far... its Amazing!

It doesent matter where you are in singing, this app help you with excellent support.

Great exercises and scoring to help me practice when I have free time. I love how there is no extra in app purchases as well!

I advised this app to so many people but never bothered to leave a review. Now the time has come. The app is strongly recommended for anyone who want to develop a good voice, good ear and sense of pitch. I use it every day and I can really see improving my skills. Its like having a coach in your pocket, you have free time, you get it out of your pocket and start practicing your skill whenever you are. The coach will tell you if you keep missing some notes badly so you would need to practice that exercise longer. All in all I never regretted spending money on the app as it has been really useful for me.

Before this app I couldnt keep pitch at all!!! (I truly could not sing) but now I use this app at least every other day and has helped me discover my true vocal abilities

One complaint. When you hold the phone to landscape, the screen messes up and wont fix itself when held up right. But that is a small quibble. This app is easy worth the money. It has given the skills to better my voice and I find it quite fun. If you are ambitious about improving your voice, this app is a steal!

Im a young singer and I already had a nice voice but I wanted to improve on my singing voice even more because I thought it just wasnt good enough..So I found this app and just in 2 days I see a humongous difference in my voice! NO JOKE! I swear! This app made me feel better about my singing voice! I love this app so much! Its Worth buying!!
